FOR THE LOVE OF MY COUNTRY is a documentary that delves into the controversy behind “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell,” the 1993 law that prohibits gay and lesbian servicemembers from revealing their sexual orientation under penalty of losing their reputations and their livelihoods. During his presidential campaign, Barack Obama pledged to repeal the law.
